SO I gave my first training as a district leader this week. I feel like it went really well. I talked about a talk that Richard G. Scott put in the new Ensign: 3 ways to find answers. 1- search for evidence that God has already given you, 2- pay atention to your feeling, and 3- act when you feel you haven’t recieved an answer. We tried to apply this to people we were teaching that have made a lot of progress but haven’t yet felt they recieved an answer for their prayers. I was a bit nervous but it turned out fine.

Fernanda didnt end up being baptised this week, she still wants her dad to come to church and get to know it a bit more.

Thias was someone we found through a reference. It was actually from a reference from a random person that we asked on the street if they knew anyone that would like to hear a message about Christ. We saw her change in the lesson a lot which was really cool to see. She went from smoking to asking really great questions and being super involved.

One member invited us to visit his school. He is a teacher there. As a presentation for the holidays for the cup, each class was assigned to represent a country. And he got the good ol´ USA, so he invited us to be there. It was really cool. We felt a bit like celebrities there. Everyone wanted to take pictures with us and were asking a bunch of questions. The principal even announced to the school that we were there. Brazilians have some pretty crazy ideas about the States but they love America. We gave out about 100 pass along cards to poeple, I just hope some call so we can visit their families.

Transfers are tomorrow but they still haven’t told us if we are leaving or staying yet, so I´ll have to tell you next week.

Love

Elder Lawrence
